Let Us Pray

O Eternal God, * who besides the general precept of charity, has commanded

a particular respect for parents, kindred, and benefactors.

Grant we beseech Thee * that as Thy instruments * by which Thy providence

bestowed upon us * our birth, education and innumerable other blessings,

so our prayers may be the means to obtain for _______________,

a speedy release from excessive sufferings and free admittance

to Thy infinite joys * Through Jesus Christ, our Lord.

Amen.

O God, whose property is ever to have mercy and to spare.

We humbly beseech You in behalf of your servant __________,

whom You have this day called out of this world,

that you would not deliver him into the hands of the enemy

nor forget forever * but bid the holy angels

lead him into Paradise, his true country,

that for as much as in You, he placed his hope and trust

that he may not endure the pains of hell,

but may come to Your son * to the possession of eternal joys.

Through our Lord Jesus Christ, who with Thee, lives and reigns,

in the unity of the Holy Spirit * God * world without end.

Be merciful we beseech Thee, O Lord * to the soul of Your servant

_______________ for whom we offer to Thee the sacrifice of praise.

Humbly beseeching Thy majesty * that by those holy and propitiatory offerings,

that he may be found worthy to win everlasting rest.
