Day 7

Act of Contrition

O my God, I am heartily sorry for having offended Thee,

And I detest all my sins, because I dread the loss of Heaven, and the pains of Hell;

But most of all, because I love Thee, my God, Who art all good and deserving of all my love.

I firmly resolve, with the help of Thy grace, to confess my sins, to do penance, and to amend

my life. AMEN

Prayer of Petitions to St. Nicholas of Tolentino

Leader: Let us pause for a moment and call to mind our sins

O Lord Jesus Christ, truly God and truly man, my Creator and my Redeemer, I love you

above all things. I am heartily sorry for having offended you, and I detest all my sins

because I dread the loss of heaven and the pains of hell. But most of all because I have

offended you my God, who are all worthy and deserving of all my love, I firmly resolve

with the help of thy grace, to confess my sins, to do penance and to amend my life.

AMEN

O miraculous St. Nicholas of Tolentino, pure model of holiness, jeweled with many

virtues, I offer this novena for the greater honor and glory of God. Grant that what I ask

is according to the will of God. I pray that through your intercession, God will grant my

petitions, pardon me my sins, and make me holy and virtous like you. I ask all these

petitions through Christ our Lord.

AMEN

Almighty God and Lord of all the Patriarchs whom you have made models of faith, I

present to you my intentions through these Patriarchs and your beloved servant,

St. Nicholas of Tolentino. Because of his deep faith and many virtues, you granted

St. Nicholas the gift to heal the sick. I, therefore, ask you to give me a faith that is alive

in your mysteries, a faith dependent on your Divine Providence, and the graces that I ask

in this novena.
